Nordic Resonance

Experimental improvised music shaped by nature.

Picture
Shaped by the elemental forces of Shetland, Nordic Resonance is an immersive sonic exploration, a quiet invocation of place through unique, moment-to-moment dialogues between environment, artist, and sound.

Nordic Resonance is an evocative new performance by musicians Renzo Spiteri (percussion, electronics, field recordings) and Richard Craig (flutes, electronics).

Shaped by the raw beauty of Shetland, where land, sea, and sky meet in constant motion, and drawing its breath from the edge of the Nordic sphere, Nordic Resonance invites deep listening and intuitive response, unfolding through free improvisation and layered interplay where instruments, found sounds, and live processing blur the lines between the human and the elemental. Shetland's diverse soundscapes, wind-carved coastlines, shifting weather, birdsong, and silence provide both source material and inspiration, resonating through acoustic and electronic textures.

Nordic Resonance is not only a musical performance, but a dialogue: between environment and artist, between sound and sensation, between what is heard and what lies just beneath. Each performance is immersive and attuned to the moment - a quiet invocation of place through sound, presence, and listening.
